Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) is situated along Eldoret-Kaptagat Road, about 3 kilometers to the east of Eldoret town.

Our institution was started in 1962 as a technical and trade school. The institute was elevated to a high school status in 1979 and started offering A- level courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry. It became a technical training institute in 1986.

RVTTI has been a launching pad for Eldoret Polytechnic, Moi University Chepkoilel campus and the School of Health Sciences-Moi University. The institute is a post secondary technical, industrial, vocational and entrepreneurial training (TIVET) institution and is a direct outgrowth of the increasing demand for technical manpower attendants to vision 2030. Since 1986 the student enrollment has grown to over 1500 as of May 2009 with a teaching staff of 108 (TSC), about 30 part time lecturers and 65 members of non teaching staff.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Rift Valley Technical Training Institute. This is one of the greatest institutions in middle and Tertiary training which offers creative and innovative courses. The core driving force at RVTTI is to produce mid-level profesionals and technologists who can devote themselves to a national development through the dissemination of technical knowledge in every field of society.
